As a postdoctoral fellow in the Thiele lab, my research focuses on investigating neuronal pathways that modulate the aversive properties of ethanol consumption. We utilize chemogenetic techniques to manipulate neuronal circuits, and several behavioral approaches to evaluate the animals’ behavior. Moreover, I am interested in identifying, analyzing and characterizing the emission of ultrasonic vocalizations by the animals under binge-like ethanol drinking, with and without chemogenetic manipulations.
