Biography:

B.S. Psychology, Howard University, Washington, DC

I am investigating the role of cytokine and astrocyte activity in modulating ethanol intake. I seek to determine whether chronic ethanol exposure is associated with cytokine changes and increased astrocyte activity in candidate brain regions. This includes regions such as the basolateral amygdala (BLA), the central amygdala (CeA), the bed nucleus of the stria terminalis (BNST), the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC), and the lateral hypothalamus (LH).

Outside of research, I love reading, hiking, petting dogs, watching anime, and practicing yoga.
