Biography:
B.S. Neuroscience & Psychology, Minor Education-Learning and Development Across the Lifespan, Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA
My current focus in the Thiele Lab involves a collaboration with the Lysle lab at UNC-Chapel Hill and investigates the role of pro-inflammatory cytokines in binge-like ethanol consumption. I am specifically assessing the role of IL-1B in the ventral tegmental area (VTA) in mice with a model of binge-like ethanol consumption using pharmacological approaches.
